2nd try at my 1st attempt M4 winter camo

miller41,
Thanks for your comments[:I].
I think the one thing about weathering is, it is pretty much subjective. What looks “just right” to one in not enough or too much for someone else.
I tried to go by reference pictures as well. When I first did the tank, I was looking at a color photo of a Sherman in winter camo and it was very clean. It did appear, as someone earlier said, “looks like it was painted white”.
That was why it appeared relatively clean. Also wanted to give a muddy look, so I did the running gear with a “just recently applied” winter camo.
There were some that thought the original job was “too bright[:D], I’m guessing[;)]”. So I thought I would try and tone it down. I’m very glad I did. I was happy with the original look, but think this looks better. Thanks to those who weren’t ashamed[] or afraid[XX] to give their opinion “and hurt my feelings[BH]” I feel that I came out with a more convincing model.
There is also the fact that this is the first time I’ve had a digital camera and couple that with the seetings all being on auto and the picture coming out 2 or 3 times the size of the model you can see a lot of things that aren’t noticable just looking at the kit. The photos really make some things stand out more.
Time now to jump down[soapbox][XX].
The Best to All,
[:D]Joe[8]
