What size of tube styrene would best represent a 20mm cannon in 1/35 scale for armor? 3/32"?

Without doing the math I’d say don’t go any larger than 1/16th. I was looking to replace a 47mm French gun on a kit and 3/32 was still larger in diameter than the kit gun. I went with the kit gun and just suffered through the cleaning it up.
