This year marks the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. 
Ever since the start of the 2026 year, I’ve seen an increase of people building red, white, and blue colored models as well as an increase of model contests having a Red, White, & Blue main theme or some other patriotic theme.
So this has got me wondering:
Is anybody building any model with red, white, and blue colors on it? Or building anything that celebrates liberty, freedom, patriotism, honor, sacrifice, etc., etc.?
Are you planning to go to and enter a model contest with any red/white/blue colored models?

Well, if you (or somebody else) want to start a group build, be my guest.
I will say that I am sponsoring a small Red, White, & Blue model competition this year for my local model club. But it’s just for members of my local model club only to participate in if they want to. Nothing big or fancy. Just trying to get a little more participation out of the members since some of our club meetings have been a bit “plain and boring” lately. I’m trying to come up with ideas for the members to build more so we actually have models to view on the Show & Tell table during club meetings.
