The Military Miniature Society of Illinois (MMSI) is having their show on October 16-17, 2026 in Schaumburg, Illinois. This show (and the vendor area within) is mostly at least 70-80% miniature figures and busts. But armor, aircraft, and other catagories are ok too.

Another great show I encourage everyone who can to attend. Of course, FSM will be there, too!

The MMSI is Shep Paine’s old home club. Along with ours, the MFCA, this is where the Open System for judging was developed and implemented.
This show is one of the Big Five figure shows here in the US, along with MFCA, National Capital Model Soldier Society (which goes off today), Long Island, and Atlanta. Not necessarily by size, but by the quality of the exhibits and the level of the judging.
MMSI is definitely a show to visit!
Best regards,
Brad
I’ll be heading down Friday afternoon. Is anybody else going?
Since I don’t build and paint figures, I’ll be taking a model ship instead.
