The WWI German tri-wing floatplane, in naval losenge camo took the judge’s best in show. Totally scratchbuilt, wings & fuselage thermoformed over wooden bucks.
The prototype was a one-off and there were but 5 pictures taken. That was the scope of the research material available

That’s great news! My first national that I ever attended was the one held in Tenessee in 2019. I never thought that the nationals would ever get this close to my home. Two hours away means that I can attend all four days now! I’ve better start saving my money!

Hi, I too was told by a vendor at AirVenture 2022 in Oshkosh that the IPMS Nats are coming to Madison,WI in 2024. While I feel the metro Milwaukee area would have been an even better location, it still is good to see the Nats coming to Wisconsin.
Any info on where they will be held ? The Alliant Expo Center is my guess, but I could be wrong.
Also, will FSM / Kalmbach have a big presence and maybe special events / sales to celebrate the event in their home state?

Next year in Texas is in early August? Don’t leave kits or built models in the car during the show. I’m not speaking from experience but sounds like ruined decals and warped parts.
Wisconsin is a fine place to hold the event in 2024. Some of the nicest people I’ve met have been while spending time in Wisconsin.
Hi Everyone: The dates for the IPMS Nationals in Madison for 2024 HAVE CHANGED!!!
New dates per IPMS letter dated June 2023 now has the dates as 17 July thru 20 July, 2024.
Also the venue changed as well. It is now being held Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.
So please take notice.
