1/24th scale kit. I’m building it in the Nouvelle Blue Pearl exterior with Orchid interior as offered in 2017.
I started with the body so it could cure while the rest of the car was being built. I used Tamiya LP-47 Pearl Blue, it covers well and glosses up even better.
Looks to be a great start.
Is the color from the Tamiya aerosol can or did you use your AB? And the clear? Tamiya aerosol can or AB? Looks good from here.
Lovely color- catches the light nicely in that photo.
The Tamiya LP colors are lacquer paints that come in a bottle for airbrushing and hand brushing. There are several colors in the LP line that have matching counterparts in the TS (spray can) line, but this one does not.
There is no clear on this, it’s how the LP paint glosses up using the Tamiya lacquer thinner and airbrushing it in one application.
Wow, glossy right outa the AB. Nice product I may have to look into.
I used Tamiya LP and acrylic paints for the interior. Pearl White and various blacks and grays. Since I brush painted the acrylic colors, and it was pretty warm here, I used the Tamiya paint retarder and was very pleased how it worked and made the paint flow smoothly.
