2016 OTS (1/72) SMALL IS BIG

Thanks for the link from the other Thread. I’m in too. I’ll determine what kit I’ll be doing and post up the box here when I do.

I like that Mariner. I have a previous release in my stash as well. I’ll most likely do something in armor so Wayne don’t feel so alone amongst all these aircraft.

I’ll keep you posted.

Your welcome Duke, Wayne will get you up soon.

Steve

You can count me in as well. I misse dthe last one, i know, shameful. But can’t miss this one. I already have an He 162 build planned for later in the year which will include a Dragon 72nd kit, so put me down for that.

Going to be looking out for this one. I’ve got the kit in the satsh so would love to see how it builds.

Yeah Bish I figured you would join the GB as soon as you saw it.

As far as the U-boat, I have been dying to get to it for 2 years. I figure this is the year. I was finally able to get the Big Ed PE set off eBay, from a seller in England no less. The only Big Ed I could find on eBay and the least expensive on the whole net.

It would be rude not to.

I don’t have any AM for mine yet, i was concentrating on getting what i needed for the Type VII which i will do first. I had planned on back dating mine to an earlier boat, so now i need to decide what i will do with mine. One of the guys at the model club i am in is big into U-boats and talking to him it seems almost every boat was slitghtly differant. So i will narrow mine down to a certain boat before decideing what to add.

How long are you thinking this will take to build.

I will be starting it in August, but it should probably take a month or so if I concentrate on it. I’m also looking at a wood deck from Nautilus. If I budget for it I can get it before I begin. That should really make it pop.

A months, i must say thats ambitious. I have the Nautilus deck for the VII and it looks really nice. I had hoped they would bring out a new tower for the IX, but now i think i will just get the deck they have and do a late boat.

I may be underestimating the time frame, especially considering I want to drill out the Limber Holes and add PE.

Fear not. After i do the MCV i think i will do the JGSDF PATRIOT PAC-3 so i can cover all the posted targets. U-boat might be a problem though.

JGSDF MCV the front two axles are moveable and you can even add body tilt to turns.

Thanks wayne, sorry, i forgot about adding the pics. But glad you found one.

That rocks Wayne! I do need to pick one of those and the Patriot up. I want therm so bad. Looking forward to seeing more.

hey Duke your pics didn’t show again. i have the tank transporter too. really looking forward to the two fire trucks.

Well, I finally decided on my next model. I don’t have a boxtop to photograph because it’s going to be a scratchbuld of the Boeing Model 1 of 1916. I actually made the decision a week ago, but it’s taken this long to gather pictures, plans and materials, and until that happened I wasn’t sure I could do it.

I now have all the materials collected, so the actual work should start in the next few days.

Wayne I couldn’t miss this one. Would you sign me up for a Dragon Funkspahwagen (8Rad).

Thanks, Terry

Steve that will be a very interesting build. Since there isn’t a kit of it Ill’ toss in a picture for Wayne to put up.

Welcome Terry!

Steve

Oh, that has me in stitches. That is a picture of the replica that now hangs in the Boeing Museum, and the very picture I was thinking of putting up myself.

No complaints, though, and thanks.

Steve

what is really funny is that is the same picture i picked and posted in the roster when i did a search before dinner.

I’ve been to the Boeing museum several times but I’ll have to look for the Model 1. I’m sure I took a picture of it. I took several pictures of everything else.

Yep, I knew I had one.
