AMT kit. Opened up the grill, refinished in PPG lacquer, DuPont urethane clear coat. This was a fun build. All the parts fit together great.

Particularly like the over spray effect underneath. Of course the deep red gloss paint is awesome!

May I ask what tool you used to open the grill?

I used 220 grit sandpaper to sand the backside of the grill, then cleaned out the openings with micro files.It didn’t take long to do, but what a difference it makes.
