2004 Jimmie Johnson #48 Monte Carlo | Revell 1:24

One of two Jimmie Johnson kits that I got for Christmas! I have always enjoyed building NASCAR kits.

Thanks for looking!

Very nice done.

Hello!

Lookin’ good! It’s interesting to see a kit like that, you don’t see them too often here on the forums.

One thing that surprises me a little is that the chassis isn’t quite detailed enough to be displayed without the top shell - I especially mean the front and the rear.

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Nicely done! That’s not an easy paint scheme.

Now THAT’S bad A$$!! Very good looking Nascar build.

Very sharp!

Very nicely done! [Y] [Y]

Thank you all for the kind words!

The silver is actually part of the decals!

I agree with the lack of details. I remember the older NASCAR kits at least had the fuel filler going to the top of the fuel cell, LOL!

2004 is handy as the internal camera coverage had not caused the sponsors to plaster the interiors with more logos.

The seat is simpler, too, not as wrap-around. The cars did not have as many roof and cowl flaps, either (having to get the decals to snug down around all thos flaps–eek).

Naturally, tire logos tend to lead to online flame wars over which years ought be white or yellow.

But, that’s a sharp build of that car.
