According to “modeling News” site. ICM models. Having seen them up close hauling 155 ammo I would love one of these to build. Thing is I can never seem to find much of what this Modeling News site posts available. At least not at the two online places I usually buy from.
It’s on the cover of their new catalog, so that looks like a commitment…

The question is where to put it when it’s done? And where to take the money from?
Have a nice day

ICM has a few more 1/35, 1/32, and 1/48 helos coming as well.

I went through their catalog this morning and there’s some cool stuff coming along with the helos there’s a 1/48 Sally. Worth a look, though I’ve not done an ICM kit - how are they?
As for the Tarhe - that should be a big monster. I wish someone would do a 1/48 kit. Been waiting for LoneStar to release his 1/72 fire fighter conversion but understand he’s offline for a bit.
Maybe some one will do an S-64 firefighter conversion for this moster 1/35 bird
That’s great news! Finally, a decent kit in the correct scale of this very important aircraft.

Anyone know of a good outlet for the models from this company? I usually buy from Hobby Linc or Scale Hobbyist but maybe I’m missing a place that stocks more new stuff.
One I snapped hauling ammo to 101st FSB
Sikorsky CH-54 Tarhe by Glenn Hanson, on Flickr
They look to be well represented at those sites. Poking around the Tarhe won’t be available til Q3 so put on the xmas list.
The rotor area will be the size of a pizza! That be huge - coming from a guy who just got an Airfix Vulcan.
I don’t want to be the guy who cries it’s the wrong scale etc, so I’ll just grab a chair and ready some popcorn.
I’ll keep an eye out then. I’m not sure what the difference is between the two offerings other than the payload.
I’m curious how long before somebody pumps out a 1/35 Skycrane pod. I know they weren’t successful, but they look cool in a 60’s sci fi way and I wants one.
Still waiting. If anyone sees them someplace please adivse.
Hi Pawel:
Well, I really don’t need new tyres yet!, I guess I’ll could find room alongside my super large model of the Seaview! So that solves the problem there. Now, the next problem, Where I do I find the time to build it! T.B. Note:
Still working on the Rio in between medical Neck problems. They (Petrobras) Just ordered four new ones!, Way different looking and More crowded with gear!
I used to see those things fly in and out of Picatinny Arsennal all the time when I was in High School. They were a sight to see.
Here’s one I caught at Dover A.F.B. in 1973:
I have seen pictures of them carrying those hugh daisey cutter bombs for making landing areas.
Good news for a rare subject. In 1/35th scale the detail would look great like the other chopper’s from ICM.I will get one,and after I perform surgery on it ;It will look Like It landed in VietNam.
After doing the Math.It will be a large scale plase( HELO) rotor span.large scale plane.

I just watched an animated video of this prehistoric dragonfly being built. 30" long and I can’t wait to see some builds of this monster by folks light years ahead of me regarding details and weathering. I only saw one once up close getting 155 ammo rigged to be sent out to a FSB. Impressive!
I saw that too. Pretty cool. I hope the scale this down to 1/48
For those that attempt to build one of these beasts, it will literally be “clear the workbench”. A 1/35 Skycrane is just nutty. What’s next, a CH-53? A Mi-6? [:|]
And I usually do my play at the kitchen table!
