1995 Shinoda Boss Mustang WIP

This is the Revell/Monogram Shinoda Mustang circa 1996. There was initially a snap version, then this glue version came out.
I wasn’t a really big fan of this design when they came out, but this one has just enough extra to be more pleasing to the eye.

I’ve gone a bit out of my comfort zone with the colour as I usually have poor experience with yellow. It’s a Testors metallic over silver.

I’ve gone with Ford blue on the 5.0 HO block, added matching plug wires. Interior base in light grey, will be bringing in some darker grey as well, but so far unsure if it will be the accent colour or the main with light as the accent.

Lastly, looking for some thoughts on wheels. Kit wheels and tires are the bottom ones. Top right are slightly wider from a Porsche 911 slant nose. Top left a set from Fujimi.

I’m thinking of using the top right on this kit, the top left on the Porsche, and the bottom ones on a custom ‘57 Chevy build. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on the interior or wheel selection?

Out of the three choices, I’d go with the ones on the R/H top as well. A set of Torque Thrust II wheels would really set this puppy off but I don’t know how far you are willing to go to get the look you’re after.

Body color looks great and I’m happy to see that you’ve got the 302 going into this one. Those engines were pretty nice.

I don’t know much about mustangs or about car modeling, but I do know I like that color you chose! Cool build.

Looking at the first couple of pics I thought. Man, don’t leave your ride out on the street, they’ll take your wheels everytime.

Looks great. Love the color as well.

LOL!! Where I live, these suckers will take them dang near in broad daylight in a parking lot.

Ok here are a couple pictures of what I’m thinking with the interior.

I can either do it this way, or reverse the light and dark. I’m leaning towards just like the pictures. Any opinions?

Just like the pictures…

It’ll be a little tricky but it’s doable and yes…my vote is on the factory colors. :+1:

Yeah, masking interiors and seats is one of my very favorite modelling activities.

[/quote] lol. I hear ya. Some folks think I’m crazy for liking that kind of stuff but I do have some fun at it.

Got a bit if interior paint on it this week. Still need to pick a dark grey for the seat color.

Love that body style of Mustang and that color is perfect for this build. I can’t wait to see the final reveal.
