Like the badge wayne. I do prefer the Saddam ones. I think the Comical Ali (Bagdad Bob) badge would be more fitting for a Gulf war 2 build.

Agreed with Bish. Those will work perfectly. Do you guys want all three to choose from, or prefer any one in particular? Or want me to make a command decision?
I don’t recall seeing much if anything of Bob the 1st time around. It was all Saddam or Tarik Aziz back then on TV.
probably right about “Bob” being more for 2. i may play more with the saddam with his hand out. just wanted to get some ideas out there.
Command decision is fine by me. That said, I really like the ones with his classic Saddam extended arm.
I started studying my kit today. Got my first CMK detail kit with PE and resin. Lots of resin. Might just have gotten myself in over my head. Probably not much to show tomorrow as I’m not quite sure where to start!
I’m overcommitted already on the group builds so will have to pass, but I’m tagging this so I can follow along in email.

Based on the Optivisor, that’s a sizable kit, GM.
So here’s my Tamiya box…
First Tamiya kit in, uh, 45 yrs maybe??? I’d forgotten about their tendency to mold in technicolor, I was ever so slightly put off to see the two piece body, and one sprue is molded in black. I prefer starting with nice neutral grey styrene.
And here is all of the resin I mentioned…
I’m afraid my official start will be a bit delayed, while I decide what direction to go with all this resin. First called-out steps involve carving away at the body, I’m just not 100% sure I want to dissect my first Tamiya kit back.
And we are now off and running!
GM, that looks like a very nice kit!
Greg, you have a real beauty there yourself! And a word of advice on the AM stuff- just because it comes in the set, it does not mean that you have to use the stuff. Pick and choose what you prefer.
That does look a big kit there GM.
that’s a lot of AM there Greg. But that advice from Stik is spot on. Its just as important to know what not to use as to what to use.

Good to see you cutting resin Greg. How do you find using that saw. I have seen those before but not got one.
I like the CMK saw a lot, Bish. I got it on the recommendation of someone here. Seems like it was Stik but not sure.

Seems I might have to get one of those, might make cutting resin a lot easier. I checked Hannants and they have the saw and al the blades. So I guess I might have to add one to my shopping cart.
