Just finished. AMT model king kit. Lots of modification to the front and yes it had red bumpers.

Great job! Love those older stock cars.

@MarkJK Nice work! The paint is fantastic.

Thank you. I built this model 53 years ago using the old nascar series mpc kit and an amt monte carlo body. Finally got the inspiration to do a do over of the build using present day resources we have now to have a much better outcome.

Thank you. I used Createx Wicked gold and wicked red acrylic paint with an airbrush and homemade flow improver and got the results I was looking for. I did not even polish the paint before I added the decals it came out so smooth. I used future to seal the decals and that gave it more gloss. I was afraid to polish the gold for fear of losing the iridescence that it had and I’m glad I didn’t polish it. Here is another shot of how the paint changes colr depending on what angle it is viewed from.

Fantastic build! I really like that color combination and the older body style of the NASCAR cars.

Nice work! I was in the Allison section in 2014 when Jr won his last 500! G-22-seat 4

Thanks, Tom. Yes, real stock cars make the best race cars.

Thanks, El-seven. I guess you are talking Daytona. I was lucky enough to be there for the Firecracker 400 in 1980 and 1990. Bobby Allison won it in 1980, and Dale senior won it in 1990.

Very nice! Great photography too. Was that a cell phone shot- if not what camera?

Missle, it was my Samsung android phone for the base shots. I then sent them to my current p.c. computer via e-mail and then from that computer to my old computer via my lexar 8g transfer deal where I used my very old photodeluxe program to edit the pictures for size and to add my texwardfan logo to each finished photo. I then transfered them back to my regular p.c. to send them to the message boards. Below is a raw photo before editing.
