1969 Dodge Charger Daytona

It’s been a little over 40 years since I build a car, I mostly stayed with armor tanks, so I will be starting over here.

Back in 1969-1970 my brother owned a 1969 Dodge Daytona and I thought about building him a model of one with the same colors etc.

My question is what is the best kit model out there that I could build? Like I said it’s been 40 years since I got down into the auto models so I have no idea which kits or brands are the better ones and the ones that give the most problems.

I would like one with the best detail and I might ever order 2 of them, one to practice on and then the real build.

Thanks for any help.

Both Revell and AMT/Ertl make a 69. I believe the Revell kit is newer

but AMT’s says theirs was released in 2009.

revell one is better.

amt’s was RE-released in 2009. i’m pretty sure it’s not a new tooling, but in fact their bodgey dukes of hazzard 69 charger with a front cone.

The AMT Charger Daytona is the kit to avoid! Get the Revell kit which is a better detailed kit and you’ll be real happy!

I agree with Mr Mike. You will be very happy with the Revell Charger.
