1967 "Rustang": Realism in Scale

'67 Rustang

Well, this all started bac in '98 when I botched a paint job on a model car I was painting for the neighbor kid.

I had to run down and buy another kit to replace the body I had just frosted. In the end it all worked out - I was able to give him a decent painted body for his model. Now I was stuck with a complete car kit with a bad paint job.

I don’t build cars, I don’t like Fords and I hate Mustangs (unless they have wings and a propeller) - no offense Ford Mustang guys!

I decided to build it with the same attention to detail as my 1:48 WWII Aircraft. The long look plan being a diorama of some person’s project car and their garage shop. I have the engine, transmission, heads, intake, headers, rims & tires Oh yeah and the hood & front bumper.

Nicely done! Having owned a few - and currently own a 2013 Boss 302 LS, I’d say that’s spot on. Especially the engine bay.

Well done.

As others have said, well done. I can almost picture it sitting on cinderblocks with a tree growing up through the engine compartment.

looks quite realistic. i quite like the split upholstery on the seats. it definitely needs a diorama to occupy

Nice! [Y][Y]

Great job! [t$t]

Great job on the Mustang. I’ve been thinking of trying one myself like this.
