Hi all,
Anyone know of any models of the 1956 Buick Special 2-door, any scale? It seems all I can find is 56 Chevys, Buick models from that year seem rare…
Thanks!
Mark

If you’re willing to pay the freight, and haul out the modelling skills, Revell did a series of such vehicles (IIRC, they were in 1/25 scale) back in the late 50’s. They’re definitely technology of that era and are a challenge to build. I remember building a '55 or '56 Buick convertible and an Olds sports coupe. There was also a '55 Ford 'vert and a '56 Mercury hardtop. Revell occasionally reissues the Ford, but I can’t recall the others being re-popped. You can cast about in the various trader’s forums, or haunt evil-bay. Just be ready to pay biggie baggage for the rare Buick.

Every now and again I’ll see some very unusual resin models on Ebay I’ve seen some 50’s Buicks. They’re usually relatively expensive, around $50.
You might check into the die cast world. I have seen several of the old Buicks in this line, however can’t remember if I have seen a 56. Neat thing is, these are ready to go, only needing minor paint and correction to have a good representation of the real thing.
