I have a number of 1/32 US 1930s aircraft, both USAAF and Navy. (Hasegawa, Monogram
and Williams kits; acquired as an absolutely amazing deal on Ebay, £35 for 10 kits including
P&P - also one, a Boeing F4, I picked up at a kit sale a few years ago)
Currently I’m working on the Boeing F4B-4 and have nearly completed it, only rigging + some final painting
to do (I’ll post some photos here when it’s done).
All of them have fairly detailed pilot figures included. However there’s no reference in the instructions
as to the pilot’s uniform colours.
Anyway, my question is - what colours were 1920s/1930s US flying uniforms/outfits, for the USAAF and US Navy? (were
they different for the two services)?
