ladies and gentlemen this past weekend jason aka jwest held an insane group build, a 1/35 kit in 48 hours. i was one of many and i had a blast. my choice for kits was the academy panzer 4 ausf h. initially i thought this would be a simple kit, one that would not tax me severely. however i discovered no painting directions, a call for zim, and some fit problems. i skipped the zim and pressed on. so without further waste here she is.
Nice job, Joe. For a wingy thingie guy or a treadhead! You did great.
One question, though…Did you intend for the turret shurzen to come out being apart like that, or was it a fit problem with the kit??
The weathering really looks terrific. I don’t think mine would look that good if I started with a base dunklegelb model and that’s all I had to do to it in 48 hours.
You’d better be careful Joe or they won’t let you into the A/C forum anymore. LOL Great build for so little time I must say. I’d still be cleaning and sanding the parts up.
that armor on the turrent seemed warped to me. it fit well when i dryfit but when i went to glue it turned out horrible. if you look close the storage bin on the rear of the turrent is not flush either. i believe that is to be snug up to the turrent. eric they better let me back in. i have a wildcat and just started a stuka to put in there. thankyou all for such kind comments. this kit would make a good build in the right hands.
I’ve got to agree with Eric! you may have trouble getting back into the[8-] wingie side of the house! you’re armor talents are rapidly showing that the darkside has taken a firm grip on you. Most impressive Joe[bow][bow] I couldn’t build that kit with the results you got even in a week. Give our “ToastMaster” his badge. Semper Fi, mike
Fantastic job there Joe. You accomplished more in two days than I could in two months. If you want back in the wingy thingy forum I will hold the door open for you with pleasure.

I’m not sure about that, Joe. Every Pz IV model with which I’ve delt (1/72 and 1/35), the bin hasn’t fit tightly against the turret. The bin has always had a bigger circumference than the turret. I’m about convinced that’s the way it’ s supposed to be.
