This is another diorama I did a while back. It is Dragon Models “12cm Granatwerfer 42 Mortar - with Crew” in 1:35 scale.
The base is scratch built.

Great dio. I like the idea of the pit - adds a lot of dimension to the dio.

Thanks a lot for posting additional photos of this diorama. The logs, tree stump, and floorboards in the pit looks stunning. The ground work around the pit is ultra realistic as well. Have you had anyone approach you about doing commissioned work for them?
All the small details add to the overall display. Top notch build! Congratulations.

Once again, just an amazing diorama. Your attention to the little details like the script on the ammo boxes and the broken tree trunk along with your painting & weathering of their uniforms just make this display “come to life”

That looks just great Charles and your forced perspective shots that you throw in there just makes what’s already there even better. Your work has always been of great interest to me ever since I first saw your “When Hell Freezes Over” dio.

Thank you for your attention to this diorama. In answer to your question, I have done commision work in the past but found it wasn’t really in my interest. I am not a very fast builder or painter…deadlines dont work for me. Sometime I lose interest in a dio and the pieces can sit for a long time (years) before I regain inspiration. I would probably consider selling my finished dioramas but so far no one has inquired.

PS, I think you’ll like the dio I’m working on now, teaser - it’s non-militatry and involves an auto garage.

Looks great, Charles! As has been said, the forced perspective pictures just pull you in - I had to take a second look at that closeup from behind the crew.
