$ 1000 1/35th Early Tiger 1 !!!

While on Evil Bay I saw where the buy in now price for an up graded Tamiya Early Tiger 1 is a cool grand. Before you choke, you have seen the kit before. It is the tiger Iwata uses in their add. Just go to ebay and type in 1/35th early tiger 1 and it will be one of the kits that are listed. Nice build, war weary tiger, good photos, crazy price.

I want to see the picture of the person who shelled out the Grand for a 1/35th Tamiya tank.

Unbelievable[:O]

More power to them if they get it

What? No interior or figs? I guess I won’t buy it now… :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone have a link? I searched but could not find it…

It happens a lot, believe me. The highest I’ve ever seen was an M4A3E8 Sherman with a nice paint job but nearly no aftermarket go for $1200-something.

I got a better one than that! I know this is off topic but,

someone listed a sandwich, that one of the members of the boy band NSYNC took a bite out of !

It sold for 1500.00…I kid you not!

LMAO [(-D] This is the funniest thing I read in a long time!! I wish I had that much money to throw out the window… [sigh]

I was so mad after that sandwhich auction. I was leading it with a bid of $1499.00 and some 13 year old girl with her dads credit card bid at the last second…

wait did I just post this out loud?

I mean… no no i never bid on a Turkey on Rye with Mayo from subway bittin by hunky Lance Bass…

Oh i’m making this worse and worse… stop typing Kop, stop typing.

You know, honestly, theres another side of the coin. You spend 250 hours on a model, you’ve got maybe $60 in the original box, but you’ve got another $120 in aftermarket details. I’m not selling that for a measly grand. Heck, my time is worth more than that!

I say more power to the guy. There’s someone out there that’ll buy it at the price he’s asking and think its more than reasonable. It aint me, but they’re out there.

Somehow I doubt the 250 hours part, I could have done the same thing in 50-75 hours, easily, and without an overpriced Iwata airbrush. That stuff does get exaggerated a lot on eBay.

And for some reason, it’s back up for sale for $200.

I just read the E-bay post on the Tiger kit. Humpf!!! Guess I will just put my $59.99 back in the wallet, pull one of my Tigers out of the stash and do it myself!

Up to $530 and the buyer wishes to remain anonymous. [(-D]

At $530 it is a steal.

Good lord, seems like some people have money to burn! LOL

With that thousand bucks you can buy an airbrush, paints, a big stack of 1/35 Tiger I models and by the time you’re done with them you can make something like that yourself! crazy…

The bid is now up to $620 after 27 bids. I think that the noteriaty of the kit being in Iwatas add must be what is adding to the “value”. I’ll see you guys later, I think that Maybe I should break out a tiger kit…

If I had that kind of money, I’d spend it on the 1/35 Dora model

First thing tomorrow I am making as many friends as I can at Iwata. They can use all my models! Tha auction ended early with all bids canceled. I wonder what happened?
