Hi all.
As the heading says. I hav been moddeling for about a year now.[:D] I am proud to say that most of the stuff i hav accomplished has been with all your help. So 1 year on and i hav a collection numbering 6.[;)] All in 1/35
-Tamiya King Tiger
-Tamiya Merkava1
-Tamiya 2,5 ton cargo truck
-Italeri 105 howitzer
-Italeri FLAK 38
-Academy Tiger 1 full.int.
Its a pity i dont hav any kits waiting in the cupboard but my next kit will be, either a M10 or a M4A1. Both in South African service in Italy. Looking forward to that.[:D]
I hav them displayed on the bookshelf in my room. If i gat another model soon i will hav to find somewhere else. I would like to get a case sometime though.
Thanx all.
Great collection… Ha ha you have finnished more kits in 1 year than I have in my 10 years of armor…dangit…
Definately keep them protected. I have a book case that I cut a slit in the side so that I can slide glass in to seal the shelf from most dust.
Again very proud of your accomplishments…
Thanx all. But im greedy. I want more more more.
Im not worried about protection for them coz my cat died before he could hav any fun with them and every1 knows not to touch them. Cant wait for my little cousins to see them.[:O][oops] But i will probably put them in the cupboard before hand anyway.
Thanx all for the comments. If i had the money i would probably hav a lot more kits done but that is the problem with being unemployed. 6 or 7 hours a day work is no problem for me when i hav all i need.
So the first taste of the darkside is so sweet isn’t it[:D]. You get addicted to it easily. We armour builders are just like in the song ‘Hotel California’ from Eagles- You can check out at any time, but you can never leave. Congratulations on your impressive results, great job. Also, spread the force of the darkside to your little cousins and draw them into the darkside[}:)].
Whew! When you said that you didn’t have any more waiting, I was afraid you weren’t a serious modeler, but thank goodness it sounds like you got the bug, but unfortunately are having to experience withdrawal at the moment… hang in there until you can get more kits, but in the mean time, start looking around for items (trash) to convert into diorama displays and begin building displays for your kits. A piece of styrafoam can be a broken wall, some popcicle sticks a house wall or fence. Be creative and soon you may be a Dioramic Modeler.
