Hey guys,
I’m looking for sailors for my constitution model. The scale is 1:82nd…which is just a pain in the butt. Anyone know where I can get 1 inch (22mm) figures? Unfortunately, I think thats the closest scale I can get to 1:82 without making my own guys. I’ve bought all the ones that are in that one peweter of 7 (or something) set that ModelExpo and some of the other companies sell. I know I could buy a bunch of those and kit bash them, but I’m looking for more somewhere. Even normal 22mm figures. I’ve tapped out the HO railroading figures…they’re just a little too small.
Help?

Jonathan,
Check out the Michigan Toy Soldier Company. They may have what you’re looking for:
I’ve ordered from them, and I found their customre service to be very good.
I’m curious about the scale question.
1" figures are 1/72 scale (give or take a little). I think they’d look huge on a 1/82 scale ship. I’m also a little confused with the conversion to milimeters. One inch is equal to 25.some odd milimeters.
I think that HO scale is 1/87, right? So I can see how HO scale figures would be too small.
Good luch with your search.
Regards,
I have a 1/64th scale Brig I’m going to build and bought 25mm pirates to crew, Revolutionary War Soldiers to act as Marines and Officers. 25mm is a bit bulky. Short of modeling your own I know of few 22mm manufactures in any time period. The last I knew of was Stone Mountain Miniatures out of CO. They produced American Civil War figs.
