1/8 Righteous Kitsune *Finished*

Got some decent work done today, but had a minor set back.

Worked on getting the flight deck markings done. I started by doing a base of deck tan to neutralize the blue.

This was followed by off white fir the final color. Do have a couple spots that i will need to do a little bit of touch up, but this piece is basically done now.

I applied a little blush to the face’s cheeks and its done ready for doing the eyes.

Attached the sleeves to the torso in preparation for painting. Wanted to make sure there would be no additional cleanup along the joints.

Did the zenithal for the hair pieces and the ears.

While doing this I was also doing the zenithal on the tail and discovered an issue.

At one point i had managed to drop one of the tail pieces after priming. At the time i did not notice any damage. However the fall managed to crack the piece slightly. So this ment another round of sanding after filling with CA glue.

It should now be fine but will not know for sure untill i get it primed again.

It is looking great. May I suggest putting foam padding on the floor where ever you are working on your figures. :joy:

So larger update today and have run into an issue.

First up i got her bracelets painted, used a dark silver base before the main silver color.

Next i got the whites of her eyes done.

I filled the hollow of the base, this was done both to add weight to counter balance the figure but to also give some additional structural strength to it.

This was primed black and right now waiting on a sevond coat of paint.

One thing i wanted to do was to make her socks slightly sheer, and attempted to use clear white to do it. Unfortunately, the clear white did not work as well as i wanted so am just going to try and do it with some thin normal white.

This is however where i have run into an issue. My airbrush decided to completely clog up. So at the moment it is soaking in laqure thinner in the hopes of clearing the clog.

Sizable update today in part because i forgot to take photos yesterday.

First up I got the feet completely done, and they are ready to attatch to the hips.

The tassels were also finished.

I also finished the back hair + ears by adding pink to the inside.

Got the tails to a near finished state. Need to flat coat them after changing the white i was using after having significant issues.

Face is almost done just need to gloss the eyes and they will be done.

Most of the chest is done save for some touching up.

Now an problem I have ran into is with the coat details. I had planned to use a color shift on them, however this did not work. It only shows the color under direct light and when looking directly at it. So will need to grab a light violet from the store tomorrow.

Getting close to done on this one.

Smaller update today, as had other things that needed doing.

Got the eyes glossed and then assembled the head. So this part is now complete.

Next step was doing the last bit of detailing on the coat which was accomplished. Now only thing left to do is final touch up.

Looking excellent- the variety of colors is very striking.

Thank you, should look even better when viewed in her finished form.

Finishing up this figure today, but with some unfortunate news.

Started yesterday by attaching the water to the base.

It was following this while doing some dry fitting that an accident occured. I managed to drop the legs which resulted in one of them breaking.

Did the best i could do in the time frame that i have to fix it. As either i did major sanding which would damage parts that had already been glued on, resulting in significantly more paint touch up work, i reprint and totally redo the legs and skirt, impossible to do to meet the contest deadline, or i do the best I can in fixing the paint and it is what it is. It does not look great but its alot better than it did right after gluing.

Next i got her tassel attached to the torso

This was then followed by uniting the body and attaching the tails. I used the base in part to help hold everything in place while the glue set. While waiting for the glue i also painted her nails and for got to take a photo of the work.

Finally i united all the remaining pieces and am calling her done. I will take formal photos of her tomorrow when i have better light. For a bit of a rush job she turned out alright. Thankfully her arm partially blocks her “scar” so its less noticeable. Once again I can live with the results.

Overall well done. Water turned out well, the colours all look really good together. I would be proud to have that in my display case.

Superb job- you certainly would not know there was a breakage from those pictures. It is a very eye catching piece- the bold colors really pop and draw the eye in so you can appreciate some of the smaller details.
