Every now and then, i would venture outside scifi and work on something where the sculpt is simply too good to pass on, here i present you one of the best offer from Japan where realism sculptor goes
That’s some amazing results with the flesh tones, and eyes. (and the freckles/skin blemishes). I hope someday to get to that level.
At the end of the day, its all about attention to details, which is universal for all types of model building
An excellent example of the artist at work.

Just incredible work- that face is so very lifelike.
Very nice work. The detail on her eyes is incredible.
Although looking at these pictures I heard Forrest Gump’s voice in my head, “Lieutenant Dan, Lieutenant Dan, she ain’t got no legs or arms!”
Maybe I need a nap…
Ever heard the name Dr. Victor Frankenstein?
As a painter, one of the biggest challenge is when u run into an amazing sculpt, how do you NOT being lead by the sculpt and make your own mark
Spectacular paint work
And you’re saying you occasionally step out of your comfort zone??
I’d love to know your technique for flesh
Yap, im a mecha focus kinda builder
Its your usual water base acrylic paint technique, taking advantage of the transparency of acrylics and layer many many thin layers adjusting the saturation until im satisfy. Add in the cold vein shady areas and the more oxygenated blushing layer in between and they will shown through the skin tone making things look realistic
Beautiful design on the mid-section of the clothes. I am assuming you did that freehand?
You make it sound so easy
Yeah the lace pattern was freehanded, it is fun to break away from the sculpt itself and make your own mark
It’s as if you’ve made the figure come alive. This is the most realistic flesh paint job I’ve ever seen. Congratulations on it flawless execution!
