Here is my first armor model completed. There are no additions, and the only storage that came with the model were gas tanks on the side. This was a test model for different techniques, and to help me get used to my new airbrush. Since this is my first armor model, this is also the first time using Vallejo washes and pigments. All criticism welcome, as I want to get better. Thanks for looking.

Now on to the Tamiya 1/35 Pzkw II I have had since the 1980’s.
Thanks Mike. Did the cannon end this morning, and used thinned brushed paint instead of airbrushing. Took a shortcut I shouldn’t have. Also painted the MG gun metal. Spotted that right after I posted, LOL. Really looking forward to the Tamiya kit.
I will check into that, sounds like a very useful product. Here is a picture of my old school armor stash:
Starting with the Pzkw II since it seemed the least involved. Still learning technique. I do have to wait on some paints, as I want to try the flesh/red brown mix for the DAK color. Thanks for the comments!
I built about 6 of those oldie kits over the years, many when I was in my early teens. LOL
Nice job on the little braille kitty. I like the camo and think you did a great job, especially for the scale. The fuel tank you are refering to on the side, is actually the gun cleaning rod.
Good luck on the Pz II. It’s sn easy kit and could be easily done in a weekend.
And nice selection of kits there, they’re not up to modern detail standards but great to learn on. And you’re not blowing a forty dollar Dragon or AFV Club on learning the ropes.
Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot to me coming from you guys. I have seen your work, and am most impressed. The Mrs. says I can’t get anymore kits until I build some of the ones I have now. Fine by me, since I am spending my money on supplies. Might as well learn technique on older models rather than ruin an expensive one. I’m still getting used to the airbrush, let alone more advanced techniques. Just got some Tamiya Extra Thin. Is it wrong to think that stuff smells good? Love the Tamiya acrylics. Spray like a dream. Perfect Plastic Putty is just simply an awesome product.
