1/72nd Avro Lancaster Prototype DG595. yet another Lanc' to my shelves.

Hi guys.

When i decided to build another Lanc’ [:-^] I thought i would do something a little different so i went ahead and built the second prototype which has a yellow underside, The Lanc’ kit was the very first Airfix offering which was released around 1958 -1960 [(-D] The kit itself was very poor and nothing really fitted nicely and i had to put a few Airfix second tooling parts on it to make it look better. This really took some completing but as the norm nothing will beat me, this kit has a few faults but it turned out not too bad [yuck]

If anyone wants to have a look at the build of it its on this forum which i’m a member !..

WHAT??? Ian is building a Lanc? I never saw that one coming. [(-D]

Seriously, well done Ian! Don’t think I have ever seen this one modelled before. I always enjoy seeing your work here. [^]

LOL [:D] Do you think Ian like the Lancaster? hehe

Great build my friend!!! I love this bird too! but I haven´t build my first one yet… I´m waiting for some PE parts that a friend in England got for me, (interior and exterior) and some resin (wheels and machine gun barrels) and I think I will try to get a PE set for the bomb bay, too LOL

I hope to start it soon (revell new tooling) and if it´s turn half good as you, I will be happy…

best regards!

Jeremias

Jeremias- What a coincidence! I just ordered some resin and PE bits for my Lancaster yesterday. Great to see so much interest in such an icon of WWII. [tup]
