Has anybody seen The Heller/Humbrol 1/72 scale Air Force One kit? Has anyone out there built this kit yet?
I’m reproducing the origionl decals cause they are extremly difficult to get and adding some other options for different tail markings and a pair of decals of the presidential seal that was on the vc-137c model.
Heller had produced one years back the only short comings was that the decals didn’t have the presidential seal and their usual problems
[:O][:O] How the heck did I miss that kit!!! Oh well it would have looked great next to my E-3 sentry and KC-135 when I get them done.
Erik,
A guy in Sydney Australia makes decals - Hawkeye Models - and makes several different sets of presidential aircraft…you could probably use the presidential seal off of one of those.
Have a look at…

I’ve heard that Steve from Hawkeye has shut down his business, but you never know - the decals may still be available - try to contact him via email - the link is on the website.
I’ve used probably 10 or 15 of his decal sets in the past - they’re not silk-screened, but look more like color photocopies of images…color saturation isn’t good over any other color than gloss white - but if you DO place the decals over a white background, the decals are really very good.
I recently purchased the set for the Victorian Police Dauphin and the VH-60N (presidential Blackhawk) and he has provided white silkscreened sections to place under his decals that go on colors other than white - a nice touch - and they’re very effective.
Good luck.
