RVAH-3 Replacement Air Group NAS Key West Florida 1975
This was a great kit to work with, no dramas and nice detail for 1/72. These aircraft must have taken up a lot of space on a carrier, they are massive.
Painted with Gunze, Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics, Gunze metalizer and Vallejo metal color. Flory dark dirt wash and AK satin varnish.
A very nice build! Great job on shading all those panel lines. I plan to build one of them babies, too, just in Vietnam-era markings. You’ve got a very nice carrier deck base, too! Thanks for sharing and good lulck with your future builds!
Really nice job Grant, It looks super. They were whoppers. I’ve only seen one awaiting restoration outside the Naval Air Museum in Florida. I had no idea they were that large. You certainly did it justice!
Beautiful job on a beautiful airplane. They were huge. Notice how far ahead of the nose gear the cockpit is, and think about taxiing towards the deck edge to park it.
