I believe in both cases of the Atlantic Conveyor and HMS Sheffield being sunk, elements of two planes fired exocet missiles but because of the ranges involved neither a/c of each two plane element could be considered the “victor” with any certainty, so each plane involved was marked with the “kill”…in the case of the Conveyor it was planes 203 and 204…203 was also one of the two planes that is credited with the HMS Sheffield, so it has two confirmed kills on its nose…

By the way, it is interesting that the Brits strongly deny that the carrier Invincible ever came under attack and the Argentines are so adamant that it did take place…

I did, and I would for this one as well, but…the PE set has a really nice one included.

The more pics I see of this bird, the more it looks like a dark grey color…yet some pics (even of the same bird) seem to have a dark blue-ness to em…???

It reminds me of panzer grey—some guys go for a warmer version with a reddish hue and warmth to it, and others go for a colder version with a bluish hint in it…

To me the Argentine birds look to have a bluish hint to it…the French versions are a more straightforward grey IMO…of course, just like with cars the angle and intensity of the light seems to cause both “shades” to look different…

Also, the satin, or semi-gloss, finish that appears to be on most of the Argentine birds may also have an effect, as well as the baby-blue and white markings on the a/c–these all probably have an effect to “change” the base color when looking at the a/c as a while…I tend to think it is more of a “mouse” grey"…like what shows on this inside pic taken very close up:

…or very close to WWII German “panzer grey” with a satin finish…

I can relate, Tex. Humor is my coping mechanism. I have to deal with sniveling little 17-18 y/o kids all day that think they know everything. I’d trade them for a long winter on the Western Front in a heartbeat.

Okay, I don’t know what that has to do with anything. Just ranting.
