Really sweet Vance! You did a great job with all the fine details. Those are some small azz seat belts[:|]. Cammo job is right on. Perfect wheel painting too! Too bad more of the engine isn’t visible.

The seat belts … the SEATBELTS!!! Actually, those were nowhere close to being the smallest bits on the PE fret. There are supposed to be actuator bits for the ailerons. I got one pair off & folded, the next one shot off the fret & into oblivion. Then I looked at what I could actually hold the bloody things with to position them and decided on a “less is more” approach!

I’m actually about to do this plane in 1/48, except it is one of the shipments held back from Sweeden and sent to the Philippines (P-35A.) for some reason I was under the impression that the interior was finished with a coat of aluminum lacquer?? But I really have no idea. The USAF museum pics I’ve seen don’t really give a good look in the cockpit.
P.S. that was meant as a question, not me trying to say you got it wrong!! Sorry!! I really am not sure.

You are correct, the few photos I’ve seen are laqcuered aluminum. (I’ve got one of the Squadron-Signal books for this machine). BUT! The pics are generally still Stateside, and I hadn’t seen any good “in Sweden” pics until recently. The Special Hobby instructions called for interior green so I thought, “hey, maybe the Swedes did this after arrival” & went with it.

Love the camo scheme, but for one minute detail: the prop is waaaay too “clean” for as weathered as the plane is. (Don’t take this personally-it takes a pilot to notice this and most modelers miss it.)
The propeller should have paint chipped off along the entire leading edge, and on the back of the tips of the blades.
Please, don’t take this personally, and keep up the great work.

Next time at the airport, I’ll have to take a picture to illustrate what it mean, seeing as how this is a common problem.
DOH!!! You know what, I painted the prop quite awhile ahead of the rest of the machine, never even thought to add some wear to it!! (which I usually do!!) [bnghead] Thanks for the catch Klik [Y]
