1:72 Sd.Kfz. 231 6-Rad - German armoured scout car from First to Fight

Hello!

I would like to show you the pictures of my scout car. It’s built from a kit of a Polish company called First to Fight. This company makes a series of 1:72 easy assembly models of the equipment the Poles and Germans had in september 1939.

I wasn’t sure if I could still do it, but I have managed to build this baby OOB, yay! I have also tried to practice some techniques, so the model is brush painted, with Revell 78 Aqua Color - very nice paint. Some dry brush and black wash, and Vallejo pigment for weathering.

So what do you think? It sure is good to finish something every now and then this baby took me a little more than one week from start to finish:

Thats very nicely done. I have seen there kits on Hannants, they have a great selection of early war subjects.

Nice, that weathering brings the gray vehicle to life [Y]

Bish, Tojo72 - thanka a lot, guys! I’m glad you like it. I was a little worried about my application of the pigment - I think there is potential for improvement here.

Thanks again and have a nice day

Very nice Pawel you don’t see a lot of early war stuff like this. Like your weathering too makes it look like its been in the field for a long time.

Hello Clint!

Thanks a lot, I’m glad you like it. I think I’ll build more of those German vehicles - those polygon geometry of their armor is just fascinating. Have a nice day!

Nice work! And the weathering and dirt looks good!

Thanks a lot Gamera! That’s the hard part on one-colour vehicles. I still have some more ideas to try out here - I think on other German scout cars. Have a nice day!
