The ship modelling business is going crazy [D)]

Calm down everybody!

The thread was previously posted as someone’s idea of an April Fools prank

Had me ready to pull my credit card until I saw the April 1st date at the very bottom. Would be a must have model though…

Julian

Thus I became the poor francophone tricked by evil germans to become the first april fool [xx(][(-D][#toast]

Here is a 1/72nd Fletcher going down in the harbor…

My first response was “bastages!!!” After I spent all this cash on the 1/300 Flether!

Seriously though, a 1/72 Destroyer Escort such as USS England would be awesome! Are you listening Revell? Trumpeter?

Dave

How 'bout a Sumner/Gearing? I’d buy two of those.

Mike K.

The Scale Shipyard has a fiberglass hull available for the Gearing class.

I love it! [4:-)] You could always go for the old Lindberg destroyer. It’s huge, I forgit the scale, but it requires scratch building help to look good.

G.L.

To turn it into a Gearing, would only require you to rebuild it from the keel up. Wrong screws, wrong rudders, wrong hull shape, wrong superstructure, wrong guns… and on and on.

Mike K.

I was a bit skeptical myself, my suspicions being confirmed upon viewing the date at the bottom. Good one, though, I must admit. Pevell??

Pat Scharr’s 1/72nd scale Gearing

And just for the heck of it, my 1/72nd scale Maestrale Class Scirocco, and Capaitani Romani Class Atillo Regolo.
