1/72 Nuclear bombs

Can anyone suggest a method of fabricating atomic or hydrogen bombs for the bomb bays of my B-52, B-47, and B-36 in 1/72 scale. I have sought out bombs to equip my models, and conventional ordnance is available, but nuclear bombs are not to be found. I would like to add this ordnance to my bombers, and have discovered photographs and graphics on nuclear bombs from various sources, but cannot find anything even close in available accessories. I have tried modifying fuel tanks, but the results were disappointing. Does anybody have experience or suggestions on putting the teeth in my plastic deterrent?

Thank you.

IIRC the Italeri/Testors NATO weapons set has nukes, B61 and B63 (?) I think, but I have no idea if they’re appropriate to your SAC bombers. HTH

Bakeable clay and styrene card would be my guess…

i dunno but I must say cool callsign u got there

As for ur question, I’ve only built a couple of 1/72 scale kits, and I used the
Italeri/Testors NATO weapons set.

A company called 4-Square used to do a resin 1/72 Fat Man on its trolley, which would be suitable for B-36s, with detail modifications. Don’t know if they’re still in business. The Italeri 1/72 B-58A comes with 4 nuclear gravity bombs (B-61s, I think).

B-61 and B-63 Nuclear free-fall bombs from the NATO weapons set are right for the B-52 Bomber. They might be right for the B-47, but I don’t think so; I believe the Nukes during that time were still about half the size of Little Man. Fat Boy and/or Little Man would be right for the B-36 though.
