Does anyone know a manufacturer of the MH 60G and MH 60K in 1-72 scale? If not, are there conversion kits available? Sorry if this sounds sorta dumb but am getting back into the hobby after some years’ break…Thanks.
Italeri and Hobbycraft used to make three different versions, however, Great Models lists them as Out of Production. You may find them on E-Bay. There is also a company listed as SK at Great Models that has shows an HH-60, USAF model available, here is a link: http://www.greatmodels.com/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=skm006
I don’t know anything about the quality of the kit.
Hope this helps.
Hasegawa used to have a 1/72 MH-60G. Check out http://www.hlj.com/ to see if it’s still around.
Italeri does an MH-60K which is modified from their base UH-60A kit.
Hasegawa and Idea do the HH-60D; AFAIK the Idea kit is an unlicensed Korean copy of the Hasegawa kit, Hasegawa also re-issued a modified version of this kit as an MH-60G with DS markings.
There is also a Fujimi kit of the HH-60D prototype.
All of these kits are relatively common on EBAY and at model shows.
You know I just sold my Hasegawa MH-60G because it was actually not a pavehawk. I can say that I am pretty familiar with the hawk community being that I worked on it for 3 years. After I got it on ebay I noticed that it was only a HH-60D night modified to be added with a all weather radar dome. I was hoping it also came with a HIRSS exaust cowling among other modifications. I guess they didn’t want to be as accurate. I do, of course, choose hasegawa as my model needs. But when it comes to the hawk community, the best one I have build was the HH-60H seahawk made by Italeri. It is the latest and most accurate hawk helicopter today. Well, that is my two cents. Thanks
Many thanks to everyone who responded…it’s a big help.
