1/72 Konigstiger pic...

Here’s what the beast looks like at this stage. The ‘Ambush’ pattern is completed, but many items and details need to be overpainted, while the wash/drybrushing/weathering operations are still a few days into the future…

Hope you like it…![:)]

Very nice. Can’t wait to see it all weathered.

God Bless,
Kenneth

Very nice Domi. Looking foward in seeing the finished tank.

Dj, you da man! Looks great. What model is it, anyway?? (I know it’s a Tiger II, I mean what brand! Sheesh, have to be soooo exacting with you perfectionist types!! lol)

Bill

Bill, it’s Revell’s kit. One of their best…

Sweet! That looks so cool. How did you do the small spots on the Ambush Scheme? Looks impressive!

Man, you are busy on two kits at the same time. Must be another advantage to Braille Scale. [:D] Looking sharp.

Eric - I also have the Leclerc MBT on the go… (and a Concorde)

Duke - tip of a cocktail stick.

Domi, that looks great so far!

That looks awesome. How’d you do the ambush spots? I can’t wait to see the finished piece.

Nice looking piece of heavy metal! Revell Germany is really putting out some nice stuff.
Keep up the good work. Need pics when you’re done…

Domi:
it looks great… as usual… i’m going 2 have 2 find some new superlatives
because i’m starting 2 sound repetitive here…
ur just too good at this, mon ami ! [:D][bow]

BTW, i’ve been meaning to ask about the afv-on-a-stick thing…
do u use silly putty or white glue 2 hold it on the end of the stick while u paint ?

frosty[:)]

Ahaaa! Superglue, Frosty. Once I’m finished with the painting, weathering,… whatever, I snap the tube off. The turret had one too, but for the pic, I removed it…

Should mention I use plastic tubing for that. Less contact area between the ‘rod’ and the tank… And little superglue…

Nice build and paint job Domi! It’s looking really good.

Eric

Nice! Now I finally know how to do that! Time to go shopping for cocktail sticks!

Duke, I could not model without toothpicks… They are my paint applicators (in this case), paint stirrers (not the most efficient but it works), superglue applicators, putty spreders, Milliput spreaders and sculpting tools (when sanded down to a nice rounded end), wet decals movers, PVA glue applicators, rivet head makers (applying tiny blobs of dimensional fabric paint), small parts holders (when used with saliva!), paint scrapers (when I make mistakes!) and they also keep my models from moving around in their expanded polystyrene boxes…

COOL You’re making me want build and not type finals bad domi

has it ever broken off on you?

The tiger looks good!!!

Dj, where do you get the time to work on some many kits at the same time?

And always get good results anyway?

Keep em coming.

“has it ever broken off on you?”

Oh yeah, Chris, it has, a couple of times in the past. Thanksfully without any major damages to the models! But I’m always trying to limit risks, so I use the ‘handle’ just for what it’s for.
