I have had the old Hasegawa 1/72 scale Hayabusa on my shelf for quite a while. One day I just grabbed it and started. No research nothing other than normal prep. I did rescribe the panel lines and make the camo masks from index cards. The decals are kit. This bird represents no known specific aircraft at all…just a fun glue and paint project.
Looks great Joe!! Nicely done. Good to see some of your work again.

I know exactly what you mean, Joe. Those “just for fun” builds help rejuvinate the mind every now and then. Great looking Ki-43. I like that camo scheme.
Thanks guys…
Mucker
I need you to repost your South Pacific GB submissions so I can add the to the first page of the build.

Did you make it to the IPMS in Pittsburgh? If so how did you do? Oh and buy the way, are you walking around the house signing the Notre Dame fight song these dys?
Nicely done Joe. looks great for a fun build.
Regards, Rick
Will do, Joe.
Hey Rick, thanks! Long time no talk. How ya been?
Mucker, the photo is recovered and will be posted.
Yes…as a matter of fact I did make it to Region 4. I must say I had more fun at this one than any other show I’ve been to including the Nats. The bar was the place to be.[#toast](fell in love with the cute bar tender Karen)[swg] The open judging was interesting and did very well. Three golds and two silvers. I also recieved “Best Airforce Subject” with my Strike Eagle. The Pitts. guys put on a great show and the hotel ballroom was sweet with all the natural light. Sorry you missed it.
Notre Dame??? [:-^] why would I be singing the fight song[:-^][:-^] Yep…ole Brady should be about ready when we get our new coach…Bill Cowher. [}:)]
