Was cruising along with a couple of kits on this long weekend, and actually got ahead of myself. Below is Revell’s 1964 release 1/72 Polikarpov I.16. It still needs a wash and some weathering, but where I got ahead of myself, no decals to apply. Had to send the order out for some new ones, I don’t think the originals are up to par. Although lacking any interior details, it was a very enjoyable little build. I have another in the stash, it will benefit from having the aileron/flaps and elevators dropped.
Here, take this badge:
It was originally destined for a group build only open to guys named Mark or Marc, but dang it, man, you’ve earned it. Display it proudly!!
Hey, it looks good! But, instead of a penny, you should have persuaded a fly to pose next to it.
And I thought it ws small in 1/48! Nice job.
Thanks for the kind words and the badge, it will be in my sig block shortly. I got the wash and majority of the weathering completed. Now as soon as Squadron can pull that decal sheet off the shelf and have it in the mail I will have a finished I-16. I will wait to post pics until it is 100% completed.
You know that your build and jeaton01 recent post of the UT1 have cinched it for me one or both will soon be in my stash!
A good job on the Rata.
