1/72 Fuchs ambulance finished

This is my second attempt at using a dusting of Tamiya buff to weather. I’m dissapointed with how it is working. Maybe I should just build them clean.

Actually i think the dusting looks realy good. Keep them coming. 1/72 is taking over this forum. LOL
Bill

[:D] yes with the dusting your kit looks real good, thanks for sharing.[:D]

[evil laugh] BWAAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAAHAH!!! [}:)][:p]

Looks good Elberich maybe a little heavy. Dusting is very easy to get carried away with. Really only need a little bounce around the bottom edges, but you know that now. Did you future before you did it? If so you can wipe most of it right off with a qtip and some IPA. Not being critical. It’s a great model and a not often built subject.

I apreciate the constructive critisism. Thanks. [:)]
I should add, it is supposed to be from 1993 Somalia. Trying to show the dust being kicked up.

Onto the Panther!

[:D] My wife and I had a choice. We could buy a house and I could build 1/35. Or we could buy a small condo, spend summers in Europe, and I build 1/72. [:D]

Your dusting look convincing to me, thanks for the pics…

Hey don’t get discouraged. I think it’s a good effort. I’ve found that I just keep playing with weathering until I’m happy with it. I still am not great with washes, but I try. Dusting with Buff is one of the more recent things I’ve tried and it can be effective. I still haven’t got the guts to do pastels, but I want to try someday. Anyway, my point is keep trying, because you will find the results that fit your needs.

Hey,nice work.Keep in mind that white is the most difficult color to wheather.
For dusting at white I always work with colors mixed with varnish and applied with many coats. With this mix, each coat doesnt change the overall effect so much!
And you should try pastels!
Well done

I think for Somalia the dust is spot on! I wouldn’t change it at all.

A very refreshing build. How was it working with that white paint?Personally I hate working with white.

I cheated and used a spray can. It worked just great on the chasis. However, it pooled on the wheels. That’s why the black paint is too thick and I over weathered the hubs. Trying to hide the mistake of not shaking the tin enough.
