regarding painting ‘soft’ camo line:
People say a soft camo line could be done by airbrush while masking paper is slightly lifted from model surface. I have a big problem while trying this method: it is almost impossible for me to keep the masking paper in such a fashion while also cover area of different shape (such as wing and fuselage). What is your solution?
Does anybody have experiencing in mixing microscale flat base with future (or water and other solvent) for flat finish? How do you mix it? What is the ratio?
Many thanks in advance
Hi Ming, nice work there.is that the airfix kit?. have you tried using modeling clay for your masking?. you just roll it into a long string about 3 to 5 mm thick then lay it along the demarcation lines of the camo then mask the area that you don’t want painting, you can vary the thickness to vary the softness of the line. roll edge masking that you described is perfect for straight lines like for the underside color. hope this helps and welcome to the forum.
