1/72 F-16I Sufa build up

Here is the latest addition to my fleet of small scale F-16 builds, a 1/72 Kinetic F-16I Sufa, with Isradecal decals (except the bat tail art- it was from the kit sheet and matched Model Master’s FS30219 Dark Tan perfectly). The Python V AAMs on the lower missile rails were scratch built because I wasn’t thrilled with the kit versions. The belly tank is from my spares box. Model Master and Humbrol paints were used to paint the model, and Testors new CreateFX washes were used to accentuate the panel lines. Thanks for looking!

Stunning work! Nice group photo as well.

Great work and in 72nd to boot! Love your collection of Vipers. Makes me want to pull out my quarter scale Sufa and get to work!!

How did you go about making your python missiles?

Wow…those are stunning really. Especially in that scale. I really like the Sufas in those colors.

Very impressive, Albert! How many different kit makers are represented by your mini-squadron?

Thanks Devil Dawg and dflu79! @ Devil Dawg- All but the Sufa are Revell F-16s in the various issues of that kit (MLu, F-16B, and F-16C Block 50 mostly). The Revell F-16 is my favorite kit of the past 10 years or so, so I have quite a few in the stash. Still need to add an F-16D to the brood. @ Falconmod- the Pythons were made from .080" styrene rod for the bodies, and the fins were cut from 010" styrene sheet. Mindnumbing considering the number of fins on the Python 4/5 series. Thanks again, gang!

Cheers,

Albert
