1/72 Ersatz M10 with Krycell

Here is my first attempt at using krycell. The subject is a 1/72 Panther/Ersatz M10 from Dragon that I built several years ago when I was just starting modeling. It was brush-painted, and I had tried to glue on the decals on with plastic cement[:$] needless to say that did not end well, so it sat on my shelf with no decals for several years. I just got some krycell snow powder for my SU-85 that I am building for a winter dio, and I wanted to test it out on a “stunt double”. I saw this one and figured that as well as testing the krycell I could also salvage an old model. Here are the results:

Looks pretty effective

Looks cool, I like it!!!

Only thing I’d suggest is maybe removing a little around the cooling fans on the engine deck unless she’s supposed to have been sitting around for a while.

Krycell is great stuff. The powder and liquid both. Here’s my first attempt.

You did a fantastic job with your sampled production of your krycell tank. It looks very realistic!

Your friend, Toshi

modelcrazy: Great work on that Hetzer! Just wondering, how did you build the dio?

Gamera: I took your sugestion and removed some of the snow.
