1/72 Contrail TSR-2

Whoops ! Is that an airplane or a spaceship?

A little bit of both like the F104 Starfighter I should think!

Primer applied…

Looking good. Quite a bit of seamwork on this one.

Yes more bodywork than expected.I lost one of the splitter cones ,so I took on old nozzle from a Paasche H Model airbrush cut it apart and installed it on the port side.

Painted the underside. .

In light of the fact that the fuse large halves have a distinct step(error on my part)I have elected to paint it like my Buccaneer.Sea Green over white like the old Dinky diecast planes of yore…

Landing gear installed…

Boo Ya! Getting there bud. Looking really good. Nice slice of history.

Thanks!

Underside…

Came out pretty well…

Well, you certainly cranked this one out quickly! Nice work!

Nice work my friend! Very cool rare subject.

Thanks!it did go quickly and the brass tubing was a good solution to the lack of wheel wells or engines. The aftermarket metal landing gear by Scale Aircraft Conversions are outstanding and a really nice addition to the kit.
