1/72 Contrail TSR-2

Cutting out the canopy window openings looks to be quite the challenge! …

Why bother? just paint the glass on.

Yes there is literally no cockpit detail at all!

The new landing gear is much nicer!there are additional struts and braces that will go on after installation.I used a microdrill and the head of a pin to allow the bogey to articulate.

The plastic in The forward section is very thin …I have to repair and file it but it should turn out .ok.

Balance looks good!

Used a paper puncher and thin sheet styrene to make the hubs.

The fit of the fuselage halves was pretty bad Had to glue in sheet plastic which was red from an advertising sign.Next I will break out the putty.

I followed Mr Morrisons advice to just paint the canopy insert black.

Body work is done.

Put 2 toothpick sections in the tail to mount up the tail.

The kits wings are too thick…so I will laminate 3 or 4 layers of sheet styrene.

The new wing needs some contouring, but it fits fine.

Further progress

This is looking good, Phil. In fact, really impressive.

Thanks!
