I’ve got the Airfix kit but I’m really after the Air France decals that come with the Heller kit… Anyone wants to do an exchange and do a British Airways white bird?

Can’t help with the trade. Still haven’t seen the kit in the stores here.
Did find a nice build article in the newest issue of SAMI (Scale Aviation Modeller International). Looks like you will need a little putty on this one and the Airwaves detail set really adds to it.

[:(]the heller kit i think you will find is in 1/144th scale. the only 1/72nd scale one is the one
by airfix, and it does need some work to get it looking right.
having said that when finished it does seem to make one hell of a model!
Philp, I’ve got the new resin wheels set, and I’ve seen quite a few reviews, including the one you talk about… I know it’s not the perfect kit, but sdtill, what a kit!!!
Bedfordone, yes, Heller are selling this kit too, for the French market, with Air France markings. I’ve seen it in shops in France, but I was too greedy and bought the Airfix one as soon as it hit the shelves here. I wonder which kit, the Airfix or the Heller one is available in other countries…?
If you contact Airfix and explain the position, they may well supply you with a suitable marking set. I was able to purchase the Bomb trolley and tractor from the Stiling kit when that kit had been oop for many years.
