1/72 B-24 detail set?

Does anyone know of any detail sets for academys B-24D?

Sure. Eduard makes a very detailed PE fret for the kit. Kinda pricey @ $18.00 US, but nice.

Regards, Rick

If you have Asobe Acrobat, you can view the instructions for the Eduard set here:
http://www.eduard.cz/products/pdflist.php?www_dir_name=./pdf/n72/&www_PDFcatalogue_nb=72191

If you right-click & select “Save As,” it will open in a window that you can maximize, and see what you get a little more clearly.

Thanks for the insight as I’m wanting to spruce up the kit for a contest so I’m looking for anything that will make it better?
Thanks for helping

Are there any good detail pics of the B-24 on the web that I could use to detail the beast?
How are the squadron/signal in action books, in terms of detail?

There is also a huge detail set from Flightpath, but they are difficult to obtain in the U.S. No pictures, but check it out:

Thanks Paul , I had a look around and found it on the greatmodels website its a bit pricey though but it looks excellent.

Which is better Eduards 1/72 B24J detail set or Flightpaths 1/72 B24J detail set in terms of value for money and detail?

I’m wanting to know because I’m about ot buy a set and I want know which is the best!

When it comes to references, the in action books do little more than cover paint jobs and well - “In Action” as the title says. if your building for a contest there really is NO substitute for the stellar Detail-n-Scale Series. the 3 views are the best around and I’ve never seen so many well taken and thought out shots of the craft as well as the best origional photos he could get his hands on Wriiten by modelers for modelers- worth every penny! Happy Modeling

Those fligtpath sets look awesome. Stuka if you can afford it I would say Flightpath because there is alot there in the sets.

Thanks guys !
