The canopy ain’t the greatest fit, there are some good gaps between the wings and fuselage and I wanted to rig it but didn’t know where or when to start. All that aside,I enjoyed every minute of the build.I’m primarily an armor guy,but like doing something different once in a while. One can really get tired of dark yellow and olive drab.BTW,Tamiya tape is great for masking canopies!Canopies are the only reason I don’t do more aircraft.
Cool! Great-looking biplane! I didn’t realize a Walrus had a slight sweep to the wings. Guess the Germans didn’t discover that airfoil aspect after all, huh? [proplr]
After building quite a few of these in 1/600 over the years as part of battleship kits,I decided to see if any larger scales were available.I kinda took a likin’ to 'em.
I like the looks of it. Don’t think I ever saw that plane before. The gunner must have had a set to sit right near that big propeller. Would scare the stuff out of me.
Thats a little gem ! …and in a very cool scheme. Some of those airfix kits build up very nicely.
I love the “walk here” markings that show up on some british aircraft - they make me chuckle whenever I see them - like someone was walking through paint and then stepped on the wing.
For a guy who doesn’t like painting canopies - you certainly didn’t pick an easy one.
