1/72 Academy Boeing 377 PAA

Here’s a pic of my B377. Built straight from box with kit decals. These are not my favorite markings for this airplane but aftermarket for 1/72 airliners was non-existant when this kit came out. I’d like to do one in United colors, but making the round windows into square ones would be a REAL pain!

Beautiful work!

Hey bubba,
Nice job!

M.

Very ,very sweet ,is that kit avalable any where?

Hey Pat …

Great picture of your completed Boeing 377 PAA … very nice build up !!! [^]

I have one of these kits squirreled away in my collection … I always liked the look of this a/c … I think I will hunt my copy of this kit up and maybe … just maybe find room on the work bench for a new project. Thanks for sharing [:D]

Steve, There should be some aftermarket decals for a Northwest 377 in the pipeline. I guess the passenger windows would be represented by decals, as like United, Northwest 377’s had the square windows…

Pat …

Thanks for the heads up on the up-coming decal set. I’ll keep my eyes open.

Steve; The kit went together quite nicely except the cockpit “bubble” was a tiny bit larger in diameter than the fuselage it is to mate to. That wasn’t easy to fix…
Keep an eye out at

for those decals…

Pat, very nice job. Don’t have a solution for the window issue, although I have a couple of labor-intensive ideas. Thanks for letting us have a look-see. -Ed

Hey Bubba
Its nice to see a civil a/c once in awhile. From what I can see, you did a very good job on the silver. 3 thumbs up…!!! [8D]
