2023 OOB build and my first attempt at water, didn’t go to plan but several attempts later I got something I liked.

This started as a air drying clay, I watched techniques on Youtube, but it kept cracking. So I covered it with aluminium foil and painted it. Since this one, I have used Sculptamold for the water base, tissue paper and thinned PVA glue for water ripples. Foam is the usual suspects, AK etc products

That diorama turned out great. The ship looks weather worn and the seas look realistic.

Oh that looks great! I have that kit half built because I am afraid to tackle water as a base.
