Nice build. Very clean.
I have the Tamiya version I will be starting someday soon. This is making me consider doing it sooner than later.
Everything is so small at this scale. Your painting of the deck details is excellent. Did you mask them off?

No I didn’t mask, I did the deck first and then the vertical surfaces while tilting the model. Then I went around with a brush to get everything else, there weren’t that many details left. I did everything in subassemblies.

Nicely Done! I built one for a diorama (still unfinished) and added PE railing and rigging. Definitely outside my comfort zone!


That is going to be a great display. It shows what it would be like to be in heavy, N Atlantic seas in a small ship. Those sailors kept England alive by stopping the U-Boats.
