At a recent history weekend I saw a company demonstrating their models. They’re all made of metal and come in kit form as a static model. You can also purchase extra options that include motorisation with electric motors and R/C, sound option and even a blank firing gun.
I saw a Pz III and Tiger 2 demonstrated an they work like the real thing! They are large and made of steel. The tiger 2 weighs in at about 1/4 of a ton when built so you can’t build this on your work bench… unless it’s a sturdy bench!
These models are NOT cheap!!!
The company is only a very small company and only concentrate on one type of tank at a time and don’t carry stock and will only produce to order making these kits very big, heavy and special. I’m told that they’re quite easy to put together and have wading capability like the real tanks.
Take a look. I was seriously impressed and if some kind person out there were to buy me a full option Tiger 2 I will personally kiss their feet for a month!!
Are these incredible or what? How would any one have room for them. I hear the King Tiger is about 7k. I also read that these are not models but small tanks. Gotta love it.
The road wheels are as big as your dinner plate and darn heavy. And to build it, you need a garage than a work bench. Painting will be adounting task. I wonder how many spray cans of Dunkelgeld would you need just to cover the base coat.
And if you order, it takes like 3-4 months to deliver ? Mad.
But then again, if I have the money, I will probably buy it. It is much better spending it for a KT then a jet that you need a place to play it and cry when you crashed it.
